School Opening 1|
School Opening 2Regular school newsletters are produced to keep parents informed of latest news and developments. These newsletters are circulated by "pupil-post" and/or by e-mail.
Parents are always welcome to discuss the progress of their children. Parent consultation evenings are held twice a year. A Record of Achievement, based on the requirements of the National Curriculum, is completed with a portfolio containing examples of work.
An Annual Report is written in the summer term. Our Reception pupils also receive a Foundation Stage Profile. For children aged seven and eleven, the report is further supplemented by Standardised Assessment Tests (SATs)covering the core areas of English and Mathematics. At eleven, SATs in Science are also taken. Junior children in years 3, 4 and 5 take part in optional SATs in English and Mathematics on an annual basis.
Apart from invitations to parent consultation evenings, parents are also invited to assemblies, services in Church, concerts and to join us on educational trips.
We are grateful to the many parents who are able to help within the classroom with such activities as art work, computers or cooking. We encourage volunteers into the school and welcome any help.
Supervised transport is provided to enable pupils to attend The Camp after-school club.
