School Opening 2As Sherston School is a small school, we are able to devote individual attention to children especially in the early school years. Children work individually, in pairs, in small and in larger groups depending on the task, the ability of the child and the outcome. We ensure that the most able children are challenged and extra support provided for those with special needs.
Currently, the school is organised into 7 classes.
The core subjects in the curriculum are English, Mathematics, Science and ICT. Other subjects covered, the "Foundation" subjects, are History, Geography, Art and Design, P.E, Design and Technology, Music and Religious Education.
Copies of the National Curriculum together with other related information are available in school for reference.
At the beginning of each term parents are notified of their child's curriculum through the class newsletter.
