Education is a life long process bringing together skills and knowledge so that everyone can live in peace, harmony and prosperity. At Sherston Church of England Primary School we seek to provide the fundamentals of that process.
The annual Leavers' Service is held in the parish church
We aim to create a caring atmosphere in which every child feels secure, happy, valued and confident
We have the highest ambition for each child attending the school and aim to provide a high quality education which is wide-ranging, balanced and stretches all children to attain high standards and realise their full potential
We strive to kindle in each child a sense of curiosity which will lead to a desire for new experiences and challenges
We encourage our children to care for each other, be polite, be sensitive to other people's feelings and to respect their own and other people's property
We aim to help our children acquire a set of moral and spiritual values that reflect our designation as a Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School
The teaching and support staff are highly committed to these aims and values. Our school is part of a village community. We are proud to be at the heart of the village and ask for the support of the community in our role. We ask that parents, families and carers support their children with love, example, guidance and help. We believe that the fullest co-operation between home and school is the best way to ensure that the needs of our children are properly met.
